Kenworth of Pennsylvania Participates in Fourth Annual Chillicothe Truck Parade

Chillicothe, OH

The Kenworth truck assembly plant located in Chillicothe, OH, held its fourth annual The World’s Best Truck Parade through downtown Chillicothe on Saturday, June 14, 2025. This year, Motor Truck Equipment Company/Kenworth of Pennsylvania was privileged to have been invited to participate in the festivities.

The 2025 Truck Parade featured more than 50 iconic Kenworth trucks manufactured at the Chillicothe manufacturing plant over the years, including Motor Truck’s very own 2000 Kenworth K100E cabover. Representing Motor Truck/Kenworth of Pennsylvania was Ryan Smith, Service Manager based in the Carlisle, PA, branch.

“Being invited to drive in this year’s Truck Parade was an incredible honor,” said Smith. “It’s not every day you get to represent your company in such a public and meaningful way. I was proud to be behind the wheel of the Motor Truck cabover and completely blown away by the spirit and energy of all the amazing Chillicothe plant workers and fellow Kenworth owners and drivers.”

“The icing on the cake for the event was definitely the parade through town Saturday night,” continued Smith. “Seeing thousands of people pack the streets of such a historic town was quite a site. Along with all the smiling residents and children.”

Kenworth officially opened its Chillicothe, OH, plant on March 4, 1974, and the first truck – a Kenworth W900 – rolled off the assembly line the very next day. Leading up to the truck parade, the Kenworth Chillicothe plant held events at its facility for drivers and their families participating in and attending the parade. Drivers had an opportunity to tour the Kenworth Chillicothe plant to see where many of Kenworth’s trucks are built. The plant also hosted an employee event on the plant’s property during the day of the parade.
